Rebecca is a 1999 graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College with an emphasis in Accounting & Finance. In 2007, she obtained an MBA from the University of Phoenix. In 2011, she became a CPA. For 10 years, she worked at an accounting firm in Kingston, TN. Prior to that, she worked at Sea Ray Boats as the Accounting Supervisor and Heil Trailer as the Accounts Payable/Costing Specialist.
In 2018, Rebecca purchased Gerry Borstelmann CPA in Athens, TN. Rebecca worked closely with Gerry during his transition into retirement and her acquisition of the firm. Gerry introduced Rebecca to his clients and was always available to answer questions to ensure a smooth transition for the clients.
Gerry Borstelmann started the firm in 1984. The firm has been in the same location since the beginning. Gerry was a great friend, mentor, and confidant until his death on November 29, 2021.
The firm name was changed to Rebecca Hutsell, CPA in August 2018. The firm is continuing to grow.

Rebecca has been married to her husband, Allen Hutsell, for 18 years. They have two children, Chase, age 25, and Emma, age 15. They have also been blessed with 3 beautiful granddaughters.
Rebecca was born and raised in Sweetwater, Tennessee, and has been a resident of McMinn County for 19 years. She is a 1999 graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College with an emphasis in Accounting & Finance. In 2007, she obtained her MBA from the University of Phoenix. In 2011, she became a Certified Public Accountant.
Rebecca is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and tax services.
Rebecca is a Certified Public Accountant who purchased the firm in August 2018. Rebecca has a BS in Accounting & Finance from Tennessee Wesleyan College and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs. Rebecca has over 25 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services.
Pamela Brooks
Pamela was the activities director at Life Care Centers of America for 20+ years. Pamela joined the team at Rebecca Hutsell, CPA in February 2022. She is the first person you encounter at the firm. Her years of dealing with the public at her previous job make her an invaluable asset to the firm.
